This is the fourth book in the "Great White Hunter" series. Henry Phibbs is an American who has settled down in India due to his love for Indian Wildlife. He is known in the area as the great white hunter. Problems arise when thieves steal a baby elephant from the village of Olipore. The babies mother goes berserk. She searches for her baby and when she fails to find it she starts killing humans mercilessly. She becomes a nuisance in the area around Olipore village. Villagers rush to Henry and request him to capture the elephant. The rogue has killed twenty humans so far. 

Henry uses Jeeps to chase the elephant and try and capture it alive for its owner. But he realizes it is in a killing spree. To save human lives he decides to go in for the kill and finish the elephant off. Fortunately he gets news of the baby elephant. Does he kill the mother? Or does he find the baby and return it to her? Read on.
